Mrs. Bates, the librarian at St. Matthew School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, has inspired a beautiful exchange of kindness with HappyGram.org.

Her students have been sending heartfelt notes and beautiful pictures to seniors, in hopes of brightening their day. 
 
But Mrs. Bates’ initiative hasn’t stopped there… she has encouraged the seniors to respond to the students and she has now received nearly 100 letters from across the United States—and even books for her library from a generous couple in Scotland!
 
This heartwarming exchange has made a powerful impact. Every letter represents a moment of joy and connection, bringing a smile to seniors and students alike.
